Since March 2020, in response to COVID-19, the Government of Alberta has approved the use of virtual care platforms. This innovative solution not only meets patient needs during the pandemic but has proven to be time-saving and convenient for patients. The government has recognized virtual care as an essential and integral component of patient care.
Dr. Nancy Robson uses Medeo, a simple, free and secure platform for patients. It can be accessed from PC and Mac based products both as a desktop and phone based application. From Medeo patients can book appointments directly and log on to a secure link for their virtual visit. Help setting up your profile can be found here. Not all patient issues and concerns can be attended to virtually and the decision to use this tool may need to be reassessed. Virtual appointments are subject to specific rules which will be detailed in the pre-visit consent and questionnaire. Both are required to be completed to proceed with virtual medical care.
Patient information such as lab results or imaging can also be shared confidentially and securely in this platform which meets all federal and provincial security and privacy standards. When a Medeo message is sent to a patient, an email notification will alert the patient to log in and retrieve the message.

Existing patients may book in-office or virtual appointments through Medeo.
